My favourite memory of Ross was at a New Year family party in Ann's house, my mum was still well and Ross was fairly new into our lives. Ross had his arm round my mum telling her how beautiful she was and that he could see where Colleen got her good looks from, while this was going on my dad was in the car, waiting impatiently, with the car engine running, ready to go home. I remember going outside and saying to dad "that if I was sitting with a good looking young man and he was telling me how beautiful I was I wouldn't be going home either" - dad turned off the engine and went back inside.
